If you meant more specifically what instruments, currently live Emily uses a Sequential Circuits Pro One synth as well as another control synth but I don't know what brand it is. Josh's bass guitar is a Fender Precision, Jimmy's guitar is a Fender Jaguar and I don't know about Joules' drums.

First off, in regards to the instruments that Metric plays, I think I read somewhere that Emily used a taped up E-Mu (synth), and the controller (I think it's more than just a controller) may be a Yamaha, Yamaha! I wish I could tell you - I'll be sure to check that stuff out when I see them live - I will see them live! Anyhow, in most of the videos that I've seen, she uses her Pro-One, of course, with this other synth. In the MySpace videos that are somewhat recent, Josh plays a MicroKorg, by Korg.

Secondly, there's a great pic of Jimmy playing theremin on the Metric website! I haven't caught it in any of their songs, and you tell me if they use it live... I've posted a picture below!

I'm into synths, so here's an update!

The second keyboard is the E-Mu Vintage Keys keyboard.

This has been confirmed in videos.
I'm not sure what type of theremin they use - most likely a black Moog Etherwave.
Jimmy's keyboard is a DSI Mono Evolver.
Current set-ups have four keyboards on stage (the Pro-One, E-Mu, MicroKorg, and Mono Evolver).
