Who cares if she smokes, really? I'll admit, I'm curious, but that's just because I'm like any other silly fan on the planet. Curiosity killed the cat, right? Well, what I really want to say is we're getting a bit deep into this issue.
I guess to add to to the thread's subject line, in the BSS biography, drugs are mentioned plenty of times, by Brendan, Kevin, Feist, Cranley or someone (I don't know if it was Cranley)... (I've never touched them, but they do interesting things - do they affect creativity? Maybe. Do they make you feel relaxed? I'd say definitely, though one can argue that point.) No mention of Emily smoking in the book, btw. Jimmy smokes cigarettes, at least in pictures. Oh well.
Whatever, drugs are a personal choice. I don't even know why I bothered mentioning what I did above. Maybe it's not a healthy choice, but I think we'd be a lot better off if we stopped discussing them in terms of "to experiment or not to experiment". There's enough education out there. There's not enough control, so maybe the herb should just be legalized. Other drugs should go away, but they're not going to go away; tobacco and alcohol are ten times worse, when you look at the big-picture.
Again, I'm going on about this drug issue. Moving on from that - again, things are getting too political here. Let's not debate drugs, let's enjoy Emily, for the musician, and artist she is. If you have something to say about whether or not she smokes, fine, but no moral lessons please.
