2012 Concerts Polite Terms

Postby GERARDAMO » Wed Feb 01, 2012 12:44 pm

So far, I've got Walk The Moon in March, Dragonette and The Ting Tings in April, but I'm thinking of scalping The Ting Tings because their new album is complete and total shit and I can't sit through it. I wonder how many times I'll get to see Stars this year.

I'm seeing Sleigh Bells in February!! I'm super stoked because they're on my bucket list for concerts I want to see, and this will be the first time I'm seeing them :D
I've heard they're great live but I've seen videos where they sound horrible.... however, I've been to Metric/BSS concerts where everything sounds beautiful but then I hear it back in a video and it doesn't sound so great :P I'm sure I'll have a good time.

Not much for me until Coachella in mid April. School of Seven Bells, Roger Waters and maybe Rammstein, Van Halen, Black Keys. GOTYE show here is sold up but maybe I can scrounge up a ticket.

Andrew WK/Nardwuar show in a month. Nard's a friend.

You're friends with the Human Serviette, MG? Why am I not surprised? Andrew W.K. would be a fun show, party hard!

Might be seeing Andrew Jackson Jihad in March, which would be a dream come true.

I don't really have plans to see anyone yet but I'll probably be seeing Beirut in March.

I have Kasabian and Edgefest coming up. Desperately want a Strokes show, Big Wreck would be pretty awesome too. I look down the Rotate This list and recognize so few of the bands, I'm getting old.

My sixth time seeing them, and I thought Radiohead kinda sucked at Coachella a few days ago. LOTS of walkouts, like 10,000 range. The Neil Young cover and a couple new tracks sound better than the cd were the only things worthwhile for me.

I also bumped into the bass player and drummer walking around the festival site with no one batting an eyelid.
