After picking it up yesterday afternoon and listening to it non-stop since, I am convinced that Do Make Say Think pulled their third album out of another dimension. I haven't heard anything like it. I mean it doesn't seem particularly unique from a distance, but it really is an experience all its own. They really capture a unique feeling on it, they're an extremely dynamic band for their game, considering that a good chunk of post-rock bands go out there to try and continue an earlier band's sound or continue a preset song formula. I know a lot of people say that DMST is trying to do what Tortoise did in their early days, but I just think that DMST made their self-titled kind of a tribute to theirs. Enemy Airship and onward seems to be an animal all its own, and I don't think I would appreciate &Y&Y as much if I hadn't heard Enemy Airship, it's such a killer progression in sound.
