And 2009 doesn't touch 2008, I swear. At least for me. Seeing Stars, Death Cab, Islands, Prince, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective ...nah, it's mostly people watching. And bordering heatstroke all weekend. EVERYONE GO

I didn't know most of those names! I am ignorant and an infant. I saw Band of Horses and Fleet Foxes, but neither were my thing either. Especially when everyone around my friend and I talked like Fleet Foxes was a gift from Mother Sun. I assume Mother Sun is not a band.

We went on Saturday because two of my favorite artists (Amanda Palmer and Jenny Lewis - both only in they early thirties/late twenties, Jake and Reese were in the VIP sidestage area and hassled during Jenny's set) were on that day, but since I already saw both of them earlier that year it was lame to see the same songs again. Oh well. Antony was also supposed to play Saturday too but his band canceled, just like all those other artists you listed. Canceling should not be allowed.

But to be remotely back on point.... Metric should play this year again. Or another Canadian band of equally unequaled merit. [Metric]'d totally be on the main stage. Seeing them on the Outdoor Stage was surprising, pre-Fantasies. So famous they're getting.

A lot of us in Vancouver would like to see Metric or BSS here for the Olympics. The "Cultural Olympiad" already has Stars and Feist so BSS can easily get the whole crew together. I'm going to be SOOO broke. During the Olympics, we have Malajube, Chromeo, Feist, Stars, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Tegan and Sara, Mike Relm (he was the DJ on JBR), and Hey Rosetta!
