Before the Junos on MuchMusic they had this super awkward "fans interview the band on the red carpet" thing and it was incredibly tacky. People were using it to ask for kisses and give bands their demos. I was scared for whatever guy asked Metric their question..and he asked ...wait for it.. ."who would you rather be-- the beatles or the rolling stones?".

Emily's dress was awful, IMO. Jimmy's excited grinning was not.

I though the dress she accepted in was pretty good actually...even though their whole slow walk up all I was thinking was "WOW legs". I liked the dress she performed in better though. I missed her usual sweet ankle boots though, the heels seemed silly high to me - almost like girls in stilettos trying to run - and may or may not have interfered with her dancing which would not have been acceptable.

Great picture of them from the ceremony in the Toronto Star today, and little blurb about their wins. Jimmy's comment is pretty much BEGGING for backlash, though:

"I fear the day when the word 'indie' stops being associated with Metric." Why, Jimmy? Why?

EDIT: LULZ, the Star also referred to Metric's GOTY win as a "major upset".
