You know - I was thinking today, about how I said that if I'd vote again, I'd quite possibly go for GUABA instead of Fantasies. I admire the soft rock in GUABA, the indie rock, the indie pop, the indie-every-fucking-thing about that record.
But the Metric I discovered was Jimmy, Josh, Joules, and Emily - so, GUABA can be considered as a whole other era! I want to give 'em all credit for what they've done, they're a band I fell in love with (though man, oh man, had I discovered Metric years earlier...)
