I love how it translates into a Metric song...honestly, really simple but awesome.
Simplicity can be so intricate in one's mind sometimes, if that makes sense and isn't an oxymoron lol.

I'm so excited for this tour and the album and THIS SONG. It's so great! The piano version and the band version both sound incredible. A lot fresher sounding than I was expecting to be honest.

I think the new song sounds pretty....the opposite of what I've heard from Jimmy (that its an upllifting record) but that having been said, I don't think its a bad song by ANY means, its GREAT! I also don't want to be biased on what the rest of the record will sound like based on 20 seconds of a new song, though.

Yeah, Emily sure is a beauty! She hugged me twice at the capital Ex show, and signed all of my stuff I gave her and the rest of the band: EH&TSS: Knives, Live It Out, and a t-shirt. I can die a happy guy now!

Anybody know: When did Emily first travel to South America? When was the video clip shot?

I'm thinking the clip was done when the album was nearing completion, so either in June when they played MOTOMIX in Sao Paolo
(clip features Buenos Aires) or sometime in the past 5 weeks or so. It doesn't look to be Summer in the clip(season are reversed below the equator)

I only heard about her travelling in late 07/early 08. The only part of her schedule with more than a week or two off is Nov/Dec 2006, July/Aug 2007 or Oct 2007-April 2008. Some of that time was spent recording in studios. The Oct 2007 Seattle recording she talks about reading a Hendrix book in Mexico sometime in mid 07. A July 2007 tape from Calgary mentions something about "maybe I should travel to Africa"

The line in the clip about writers block or not liking what she wrote may be referring to the 5 songs played in the spring 2007(Freddy, Up in Flames, Hooks/Sympathy, Stadium, Standing)
